OUR HISTORY
ORTHOPEDICS | NEUROSURGERY - JABOTICABAL
Our story officially began in 2013 during the 1st International Course on Orthopedics and Traumatology of Small Animals. We were honored by the presence of the distinguished professors Sheila Rahal (UNESP Botucatu), Olicies da Cunha (Palotina), Wanderley Severo Jr (Rio de Janeiro), Fernando de Biasi (UEL), João Guilherme Padilha Filho (Jaboticabal), Marcos Della Nina (USP), as well as the international speaker Esteban Mele (University of Buenos Aires). The event was magnificent, and we couldn't have imagined where we could go!
ORTOVET EXPERT
Ortovet Expert is a project that was created in October 2021 during the international knee orthopedics event organized by Dr. Rodrigo Luis Silva, with the goal of uniting veterinarians focused on orthopedics with national implant companies, as well as other companies involved in orthopedics.
ABOUT CBOVET 2026
The Brazilian Congress of Veterinary Orthopedics (CBOVet) was founded in 2019 at UNESP Jaboticabal, an institution renowned for its teaching, research, and outreach in the field of Veterinary Orthopedics. The creation of CBOVet represents a significant milestone in veterinary orthopedics in Brazil, as the specialty has been growing exponentially in our country, with a substantial number of new veterinarians becoming enthusiasts and passionate about orthopedics each year. This event is the result of the vision of ALL those who love veterinary orthopedics in Brazil. We are now in the third edition of a congress that aims to disseminate knowledge, complement training, and promote the exchange of information and experiences among professionals, researchers, professors, and students. To maintain our objectives and enhance our ability to disseminate knowledge with excellence, we will join forces with Ortovet, experts in organizing the third edition of CBOVet in 2026. We will have simultaneous presentation rooms, a living area, and space for the presentation of scientific papers. We hope everyone feels at home again and that they can take away from CBOVet more knowledge and inspiration for their work in the field of veterinary orthopedics for companion animals.
